Types of vinyl flooring

We carry three main types of vinyl at Kings Flooring; sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), and luxury vinyl plank (LVP). Each of these choices has a slightly different look and can be used in a variety of different applications. Sheet flooring is just what its name suggests, vinyl that comes in large sheets that can be custom cut to fit a particular space. LVT is sized like tiles, and can be used in place of ceramic or porcelain tile. LVP often resembles hardwood flooring. Both LVT and LVP come in different sizes. Many years ago, vinyl was considered cheap-looking flooring, but this has now changed. Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and resilient sheet flooring have evolved into sophisticated products that high-end clients are choosing over wood and tile, because the new products look so similar to the natural surfaces they mimic. They perform extremely well and cost less. This is a great situation for the homeowner or business looking for a cost-efficient alternative to natural wood and other flooring materials.

Benefits of vinyl flooring

Vinyl flooring is extremely resilient, and it can stand up to traffic, moisture, and other stressors. It is very easy to maintain, which also makes it desirable. Installation is easier than tile and hardwood floors, and the cost is more reasonable as well. All in all, vinyl is an excellent choice for many areas, both in homes and businesses, and it continues to rise in popularity. Please take a few moments to glance at our Gallery page to see what today’s vinyl looks like, and contact us if you would like to see a range of possible choices.
